History of the Land Rover Defender
The Defender was the original Land Rover, known as the Series I. It immediately became world famous for its Off Road ability.
The Land Rover was launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show on 30 April, 1948. Later known as the 'Series I', it had an 80in wheelbase, 50bhp 1595cc gas engine from the Rover P3, pickup body.
According to Land Rover, The new model will represent 70 years of innovation and improvement; honoring the vehicle’s history for rugged solidity while thoroughly remaining a Defender for the 21st century.
We had a chance to Drive her at 4xFar this year and we enjoyed see the Defender 110 at the Chicago Auto Show. The Defender will start showing up in dealers showrooms this March 2020, but they will be limited. When we get to take our s out we will post the next video on her.
